How to Update the Lower Third on an Uploaded Post

If you’ve uploaded a video to Videospan and need to update the lower third (your name, title, and other on-screen identifiers), you can do this directly from the Post Details page. Any changes you make will automatically retrigger all templates associated with that post.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the Post

  1. Go to your Collection where the post is stored.

  2. Click on the post to open its Post Details view.

2. Edit the “From” Information

Your lower third is powered by the From section of the post.

  1. In Post Details, locate the From panel.

  2. Click Edit (or the pencil icon).

  3. Enter the following information:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Organization

    • Title / Role

Tip: Entering all fields ensures your lower third displays cleanly and matches your brand template.

  1. Click Save.

Once saved, Videospan automatically recreates all templates with lower-third elements within your branded templates.

3. Regenerate With an Editable Template (Optional)

If you want to apply a new or editable template to your uploaded video:

  1. In Post, scroll to the Templates Videos section.

  2. Select a template from the Right Dropdown. Click Apply Editable Template .

  3. Videospan will generate a new output using the updated lower-third information.

4. Review and Publish

Your updated videos will appear in the Outputs list. From here, you can:

  • Download the updated video

  • Publish directly to LinkedIn or other connected social accounts

  • Embed the content via iFrame

  • Add it to a playlist or collection
