How to Combine Multiple Posts into One Clip in Videospan
Videospan makes it easy to merge multiple video posts — whether raw recordings or branded template outputs — into a single, seamless clip.
By using Add to Clip and Edit Clip, you can assemble highlight reels, team recaps, or multi-speaker videos in just a few clicks.
What You Can Do
With the Add to Clip workflow, you can:
Combine multiple posts into one timeline.
Rearrange clips in the Videospan Editor.
Edit transitions, captions, and audio between segments.
Export a fully branded composite video — automatically applying all templates and styles.
Step-by-Step: Combining Posts into a Single Clip
1. Select Your Posts
From your Collection:
Browse through your existing posts.
On each post you want to include, click Add to Clip.
You can repeat this for as many posts as you like — raw uploads, video responses, or templated outputs.
Tip: Use “Add to Clip” on both unstyled (“raw”) videos and branded (“template”) versions. Videospan handles alignment automatically.
2. Open the Clip in the Editor
Once you’ve added all the posts you want to combine:
Click Edit Clip from the toolbar or prompt that appears after adding posts.
The Videospan Editor will open, displaying each post as a segment on the timeline.
Each video appears in order with its associated brand styles, captions, and audio.
3. Rearrange and Trim
Inside the editor:
Drag and drop clips to reorder them.
Trim the start or end of each clip for tighter pacing.
Split longer clips into smaller sections if needed.
Add transitions (fade, cut, slide, etc.) between clips for smoother flow.
Your brand template remains applied to each section automatically — no manual re-branding needed.
4. Mix Raw and Branded Posts
You can freely combine:
Raw Posts: Unstyled original recordings or uploads.
Template Styles: Brand-aligned, fully styled versions.
Videospan harmonizes them under your chosen template, ensuring fonts, overlays, intros/outros, and colors match across the entire timeline.
Example: Combine a CEO’s raw response video, a few employee testimonials, and a branded outro into one polished highlight reel — all consistent with your brand standards.
5. Preview and Save
When your combined clip looks right:
Click Preview to watch the full composite video.
Adjust captions, overlays, or audio levels as needed.
Click Save or Export.
Videospan will:
Automatically apply your selected brand template across the entire video.
Version-control the new combined output.
Generate captioned and styled versions ready for sharing.
Best Practices
| Action | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Combine similar content | Group posts by theme (e.g., “Customer Stories” or “Weekly Updates”) |
| Keep total length manageable | 60–120 seconds is ideal for social distribution |
| Mix raw + branded thoughtfully | Start and end with branded template clips for a cohesive look |
| Preview before export | Ensure smooth transitions and balanced audio |
| Use version names | e.g., “Q3 Highlights – Combined Clip v1” |
Summary
| Step | Action | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Click Add to Clip on each post | Adds videos to your combined clip |
| 2 | Click Edit Clip | Opens all selected posts in the editor |
| 3 | Rearrange and trim | Control order, transitions, and pacing |
| 4 | Export | Videospan re-applies templates + saves a new version |
