What You Can Do in the Videospan Editor

The Videospan Editor is a full-featured, in-browser video editing workspace built on an advanced visual editing engine.
It combines professional-grade video tools with Videospan’s brand automation, AI repurposing, and version control features — so you can customize videos safely and efficiently without ever leaving the platform.

Core Editing Tools

These are the foundational editing capabilities you’ll find in the editor, inherited from Videospan’s native editing engine:

Clip & Timeline Tools

  • Trim and split clips precisely.

  • Reorder clips on a timeline using drag-and-drop.

  • Crop or resize frames to match any aspect ratio (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, custom).

  • Adjust speed (slow/fast motion).

  • Add crossfades or hard cuts between clips.

Visual Adjustments

  • Crop, pan, and zoom dynamically inside the frame.

  • Adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, and exposure.

  • Add color filters or LUTs to stylize footage.

  • Apply blur, vignette, or color overlays for branded looks.

Tip: All adjustments stay inside the brand boundaries defined in your template — you can’t accidentally drift off-brand.

Text & Titles

  • Add static or animated text layers anywhere on screen.

  • Choose fonts from your Brand Assets library.

  • Control size, color, opacity, and animation timing.

  • Use prebuilt text animations (fade, slide, typewriter, etc.).

Lower-thirds from templates appear here too, but you can add custom title cards when needed.

Stickers & Graphics

  • Import SVGs or PNGs from your brand library.

  • Add shapes, arrows, icons, and labels.

  • Adjust rotation, opacity, and timing.

  • Layer multiple visuals with blend modes.

Audio Tools

Background Audio

  • Add or replace a background track from your Audio Assets.

  • Control track volume, loop, and fade in/out.

  • Align beats to transitions for smoother edits.

 Voice & Dialogue

  • Adjust speech volume and EQ balance.

  • Auto-duck music under dialogue for clarity.

  • Mute or isolate segments as needed.

  • Sync replacement voiceover files.

Motion & Effects

  • Apply smooth zoom/pan animations between keyframes.

  • Use transition presets (fade, slide, wipe, dissolve).

  • Add animated overlays or sticker motion.

  • Apply slow motion, reverse, or freeze-frame effects.

?Layers & Object Management

  • Work with unlimited layers (video, image, text, audio).

  • Rename, reorder, and lock layers.

  • Group multiple layers for batch movement or resizing.

  • Toggle layer visibility for clean previews.

 Integration with Videospan Features

While the editing engine offers a professional toolset, Videospan adds automation and safety on top:

✅ Automatic Template Re-Application

When you export, all relevant brand templates (intros, overlays, captions, colors, and fonts) are automatically reapplied.
You don’t have to rebuild brand styling after edits.

? Version Control

Every export is saved as a new version, complete with metadata:

  • Timestamp

  • Editor name

  • Changes summary

  • Linked template ID
You can roll back to any version instantly.
